LITE (Leading Initiative for Trans Equity) Fellowship

In July, SPARK will be launching LITE (Leading Initiatives for Trans Equity) Fellowship. LITE will invest in, enhance, and develop the leadership of six Black Trans Folx and Folx who exist outside the binary throughout the state of Georgia. Members will leave with skills that will allow them to advocate and culturally  organize around Trans reproductive healthcare. This fellowship is specifically an entry point for passionate young (18-35) Black individuals who are trans or don’t exist within the binary in the state of Georgia to engage in organizing and advocacy work.

Over the span of 4 months members will be compensated a $1500 stipend for their time and dedication. During the project, cohort members will have the opportunity to explore what it means to work toward Black Trans liberation. Members will ignite cohort-led projects that also work hand in hand with some of our programs and campaigns such as the Trans Leadership Initiative and our Power in a Name campaign. Our hope is that during their time here, members will be able to build community power, sustainable relationships and be built up as a leader which can bring toward a more liberatory future.

The cohort will run from July 14, 2021 – December 1, 2021. Fellows should be prepared for a 3hr/week time commitment.

Please Note: We will be prioritizing applicants who are AFAB.
